Man Equips Beer Pong Table with LED Lights

Beer pong has been a popular activity for college students around the country for decades, but in that time we’ve seen little change in what the game actually looks like. There are of course various rules and versions of the game, but most of them involve playing on the same type of table. Well, recently a man in Canada decided to inject a little more fun into the table itself by creating one that has flashing LED lights.

The inventor of the table, Jeff Nybo, came up with the idea a couple of years ago. He decided the beer pong table his friend has wasn’t quite as interesting as he thought it should be. From there he created the BPT X5, a flashy beer pong table that has a unique LED design under the surface. There are multiple LEDs that flash and light up along the length of the table, which makes for some interesting visuals when the game is played at night or in a dark room.

The popularity of the table has grown to the point that Nybo is now selling kits that allow people to make their own version of the BPT X5.
