LED Lights Leading the Future of Sports

When Kobe Bryant’s name is thrown around, people tend to start to listen to what’s going on. But no one quite expected that LED lights would be the entire craze when it comes to basketball. For the longest time in basketball, we have been using lights for keeping score and the functioning of the scoreboard. But it was only recent that with the creation of a new court, LED lights are now being planted below the feet of the basketball players.

The court that was created by Nike is called the Rise Court, and it could very well be the future of training for basketball athletes. It was in Bryant’s trip to Shanghai that the court was unveiled and some kids tested it alongside him. Unfortunately, even Kobe Bryant wasn’t entirely sure how the new LED court functioned, but he did attempt the training with the kids as best as he could. Still, it does seem that it may also become something that is used in professional basketball, especially given the ability to display graphics and various other pictures on the floor that the team trains and plays on.

No longer would you have just one famous name from each team in basketball, but many of them because everyone would have similar skill potential with similar training systems.

The LED court is just another thing that goes to show the true potential that these lights have, and just what they can do with our future. Only time will tell with what we may see LED lights and computers do next.
